Description
AXmentor is looking for a very senior Microsoft Dynamics™ AX business consultant to lead international project engagements for large enterprise clients.
AXmentor is an international IT company that helps large and global organizations successfully implement strategic Microsoft Dynamics® AX solutions that generate rapid, predictable and measurable results. AXmentor operates mainly in North America and Western Europe and it has offices in Copenhagen, London and San Diego.
You will be part of a team of highly experienced international Dynamics™ AX and Microsoft technology stack implementation specialists. In this position you will work with extremely skilled colleagues on a series of exciting customer projects. The position is based in London and includes travel activity mainly to Europe and the United States.
In the role of Lead Microsoft Dynamics™ AX business consultant you will participate in every aspect of the project life cycle from leading and driving workshops to analyzing the customer’s business requirements and configuring and deploying the solutions.
Although your domain expertise will be within manufacturing or trade and logistics we expect a good high level understanding of other commercial areas and general business processes to allow you to act as a lead consultant on some of our projects
You will be expected to deliver strong sound advice based on your domain, commercial and ERP specific expertise to all levels within the client organization including senior Management.
Tasks
The successful applicant should posses a minimum of five years of ERP consultancy experience at a senior level with Enterprise customers. In addition you will have a strong IT/business consultancy background.
Previous knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics™ AX platform is a clear advantage but not a strict requirement. If you have relevant experience with other solutions like: SAP, JD Edwards, Baan, Oracle we offer you the possibility to learn and move over to Microsoft Dynamics™ AX.
Based upon your experience you will have the confidence to lead and drive very complex engagements. You will be able to provide advice on complex topics in a straightforward manner. You will work with virtual teams and you will manage and mentor teams of less experienced consultants. You will report to project sponsors as well as management in an accurate and proactive manner.
Most of all you must have a clear understanding of the business requirements involved. You will be asked to create well written documents that describe the customer requirements and solutions to their challenges.
As a person, you are self managed, highly analytical, communicative, open and informal in your leadership style. You generate ideas and enjoy taking the initiative to set new standards for excellence in your deliverables. Written and spoken fluency in English is essential, however a capability to communicate in other languages is highly desirable.
Demands
As a minimum you are expected to have:
- At Least 5 years of experience doing ERP consultancy
- A crisp understanding of general business processes
- Excellent knowledge of the Supply Chain domain
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Good knowledge of the functioning of at least one major ERP system (SAP/Baan/Oracle/JD Edwards)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics® AX is an advantage but not a strict requirement
- A very structure and methodic approach to your work
- A proactive attitude and the ability of working independently
- A talent for understanding customer issues and finding solutions to them
- The ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
- The ability to think in abstract terms
